Federica Castagnetti

Born in 1973 in Montecchio, province of Reggio Emilia. After his youth studies he had the opportunity and the good fortune to live many years in the birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence, where he attended university, obtaining a degree and specialization in Psychology.
He now lives and works in his home country, where he works as a psychotherapist.
Always attracted by the art of painting, also influenced by the experiences lived in the exercise of the profession, she lives painting as a reflection of her own inner world, sometimes with dreamlike references, and feels the possibility of expressing emotions that are difficult to translate into other languages. Self-taught, engaged in the constant search for new expressive values, he explores, experimenting with new techniques and new materials, such as stucco and lime, thus giving life to multi-material works through an abstract language, often obtaining surprising effects.
The works created over the years, are present in public exhibition spaces of the City and the Province.
He has participated in several competitions and exhibitions, both personal and collective.
In 2019 he participated with his own work in the great international exhibition of contemporary art "NOWART", at "Inarte Werkkunst Gallery" in Bergamo, with the critical presentation of the event curated by Vittorio Sgarbi.
He then took part in the contemporary art exhibition "OBSESSION", organized in the spaces of the "CAEL Gallery" in the center of Milan, during the period of fashion week, in February 2020.
Today, as in the past, she works in search of new stimuli, refining her own style that lead her to always experiment with new techniques.
