I was born in Cecina (Livorno) on 19-3-1961.
I started painting in oil in the 80s.
My last artistic activity is based on digital painting.
The object, the subject of my works are often faces and female figures.
Since I was a child I have always been very fascinated by the first rudimentary black and white photos, where they were accentuated in the faces of persons ,women in particular, large areas of shadow. of mystery, of magic.
With my art I felt the need to reproduce these faces, to give life, light, color to these areas of shadow.
I also found an analogy in the faces of modern models and actresses who, often, with their heavy makeup around their eyes and lips reminded me, in some way, of those old photos I loved as a child.
These faces, then, over time, have become nothing more than means, vectors , keys with which to express my emotions and my moods.
