Experimental portrait made using the watercolor grisaille technique. The first colored background is completed by overlapping layers of transparent or semitransparent color, thus composing the different tonal values of the figure. The portrait is finally completed with colored pencils and soft pastels to increase its realism.
The tonal atmosphere of the portrait changes following the variations of light that occur throughout the day.
