MATATA

Artist - Italy

Emanuel Di Tata, aka MATATA (May 18, 1992 Larino, CB), is an Italian visual artist, illustrator and graphic designer.

He began his artistic career at the Academy of Fine Arts in L'Aquila where he attended Graphic Art and Design.

In 2014 he won the Erasmus scholarship at the Facultad de Bellas Artes in Bilbao, Spain. Here he deepens his studies and increases his passion for drawing and digital art.

In 2015 he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Art and decided to move to Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata to specialize his technique which is that of "finger collage".

Through the use of the finger of his hand, moving on the touchpad of his computer, the artist creates imaginary worlds in which the figures, shapes and scribbles that characterize the work coexist.

"Art is the most intimate expression of the Soul"

The message that MATATA wants to convey refers to the purity of the inner Universe, the one made of images and colors born from the emotions and sensations that constitute the true Essence of the Individual.

In 2018 he obtained a Master's Degree in Illustration with full marks at the Academy of Fine Arts and returned to Spain. He begins to collaborate with several art galleries as a visual artist and continuing his artistic research.

Today he lives and works in Italy participating in shows and exhibitions on national and international territory carrying out his projects.
